During the last couple of weeks I’ve noticed that a few of my explicit jobs does not terminate properly on Windows 7. This forces me to manually terminate the processes (which does not take up any extra tokens luckily) but they do consume precious memory.

The cause is a bug in the Windows MPI library – which can be fixed by downgrading to MPI version 5. These files are available in the “Simulation Services” folder. Typically “C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\SimulationServices\V6R2019x\win_b64\resources\MSI” – Install MPI 5.0_x64 if this is a problem you have or upgrade to Windows 10.
